Overview: Scorbunny is an energetic fire type Pokémon. It is the first in a three Pokémon evolutionary line, though its other evolutions have not yet been revealed. It is the newest fire starter to the Pokémon franchise and it was revealed alongside the grass starter, Grookey, and the water starter, Sobble. As a brand-new starter of the eighth generation of Pokémon games, Scorbunny is very popular. Scorbunny will officially debut in the most recent Pokémon titles, Sword and Shield, which will be released on November 15th.

History/Biology: Scorbunny is the Rabbit Pokémon, named due to its appearance. It is a bipedal rabbit with white fur, red accents on its ears and feet, and a yellow “bandage” pattern over its nose. Very little is known about this Pokémon because it was only recently discovered. However, we do know that this energetic Pokémon can create so much friction under the soles of its feet while running that it can start fires. This Pokémon also has a fire sac in its body. After exercising, Scorbunny’s increased body temperature and heartrate can increase the power of the flames within its fire sack.
