Overview: Rowlet is a rambunctious, Grass type Pokémon. It is the first in a three Pokémon evolutionary line, which also includes Dartrix and Decidueye. It was originally released in the games, Sun and Moon, which are the seventh generation of Pokémon games. It debuted as the grass starter of the game, alongside the fire starter, Litten, and the water starter, Popplio. As a starter of one of the most recent Pokémon games, Rowlet is very popular.
History/Biology: Rowlet is the grass quill Pokémon, named due its typing, and its ability to send out its sharp feather like quills. It is a small owl with cream colored feathers and a white face and belly. It also has a bowtie shaped leaf on its chest. Rowlet is known for its nocturnal nature, and its silent hunting skills. It uses photosynthesis to absorb energy during the day while it sleeps. It also likes to sleep in small, dark places, like inside its trainer’s pockets or shoes.
